The present study investigates anxiety levels among male and female basketball players in Himachal Pradesh. The hypothesis proposed that there would be no significant difference in anxiety levels between male and female participants. A sample of 200 players (100 male and 100 female) was assessed using standardized measures of anxiety. Statistical analysis revealed that the mean anxiety scores of male players (M = 30.97, SD = 4.21) and female players (M = 30.40, SD = 4.20) did not differ significantly. The calculated t-value (0.95) and corresponding p-value (0.341) exceeded the 0.05 threshold, confirming the hypothesis. These findings suggest that gender does not play a significant role in determining anxiety levels among basketball players in this region.
