A mapping tool, tailored for the HL-3 tokamak, has been developed based on the standardized data model of the Integrated Modelling & Analysis Suite (IMAS). The poloidal system and electromagnetic data of HL-3 were translated into the IMAS format using a newly established mapping methodology. Verification and validation were performed using interface data structure tools and the EFIT++ equilibrium reconstruction tool, both integrated within the IMAS framework. The successful implementation of IMAS on HL-3 demonstrates the effectiveness of the framework and provides a technical reference for other tokamak facilities adopting IMAS-based data architectures. • First implementation of mapping HL-3 tokamak data to the IMAS format. • Focus on the mapping methodology of IDS. • Optimize the selection of storage format. • Multi-dimensional validation to ensure data accuracy. • Provide IMAS application references for other tokamaks.
