Large PPM Lead–Associated Thrombus in a JAK2-Positive Patient
Key Points
To examine the clinical significance of large intracardiac lead-associated thrombi in patients with JAK2 mutations.
Case report of a JAK2-positive patient
Assessment of thrombus size and characteristics with imaging
Discussion on anticoagulation treatment options
Evaluation of treatment decisions based on individual patient factors.
Identification of a large intracardiac thrombus in a JAK2-positive individual
Emphasis on the importance of individualized treatment plans for anticoagulation
Discussion of clinical implications of lead-associated thrombi in patients with CIED.
Abstract
Large intracardiac CIED-related thrombi remain clinically significant but poorly studied. Anticoagulation is the mainstay of treatment, however decisions are highly individualized.
