Short-term power load forecasting can provide a guarantee for the safe and economic operation of the power system and offer a reference basis for power dispatching and the start-up and shutdown of generating units. The traditional short-term load forecasting methods for power systems have some shortcomings. By using intelligent algorithms, power load data and meteorological data can be fully utilized, which can significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of short-term power load forecasting, reduce the power generation reserve capacity of the power system, achieve the economic rationality of power dispatching, and save power generation costs.
