Punctum Plugged by Brow Hair: A Hairy Surprise Post-threading

Here, presenting an unusual case of an eyebrow hair discovered in the punctum as a foreign body following eyebrow threading in a 29-year-old female patient. She presented to the eye outpatient department with complaints of pain, redness, foreign body sensation and watering in the right eye for 4 days. On detailed ocular examination, the upper lacrimal punctum was plugged with punctal hair which was rubbing over the nasal conjunctiva. There was prompt relief on ocular discomfort postremoval of hair and was prescribed with antibiotic eyedrops and lubricants. This case highlights a rare instance of eyebrow hair plugging the lacrimal puntum postthreading and the need to consider unusual foreign bodies and meticulous ocular examination in patients with unexplained watering and ocular discomfort, also to raise awareness about ocular complications postcosmetic procedure.
