Abstract A 7‐month‐old, male, entire Dalmatian dog presented with acute‐onset haematemesis. Following symptomatic medical treatment, vomiting resolved, although the dog remained subdued and inappetent. True gastro‐gastric intussusception was suspected on abdominal radiography and ultrasonography and was confirmed by contrast‐enhanced computed tomography. An exploratory coeliotomy revealed gross changes in the stomach consistent with previous intussusception; however, the intussusception had spontaneously resolved. Subsequently, a fundopexy was performed to prevent recurrence. The dog recovered uneventfully and was discharged 4 days later.
