Academic publishing has been playing the key role in facilitating science advances and dissemination of scientific knowledge since its inception in the seventeenth century.As a rapidly emerging multi-disciplinary research arena, the Energy field has now reached ~ 300,000 published papers annually.Traditional publishing approaches do not place emphasis on a clear pathway to commercialization.A new journal with a strong emphasis on scalable energy solutions would provide industry the capability to identify actionable insights.Now, the global energy transition demands bold ideas, rigorous validation, and rapid translation of breakthroughs into real-world solutions.We launch the journal Watt to accelerate the transition of green energy research from lab to market.Watt's mission is to achieve a platform, where transformative science meets scalable technology, accelerating humanity's journey toward a green energy future.
