Teaching and learning have evolved greatly, moving away from the traditional, teacher-centered “chalk and talk” model towards more interactive and student-centered approaches. In this pedagogical transformation, integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) highlights the importance of assessing AI awareness, since adaptability is essential for effective AI-based teaching. Prior techniques failed to focus on the core-based technical competency in consideration with the skill gap and experience point. Furthermore, previous studies have given limited attention to the learning relevance and its impact workforce strength of teachers. Hence, in this research, an analysis approach on AI awareness is put forward to address the need for improved pedagogical approaches, the study investigated the impact of a collaborative learning strategy as s The study involves a total of 200 participants from Arts and Science Colleges of three districts in Kerala were questioned, representing a variety of disciplines, degrees, and ages. The descriptive statistics found that teachers from Thiruvananthapuram district possesses better AI awareness, which is associated with experience and skill gap identification. Further analysis using Core-based Technical Competency Model, discovers that learning relevance and workforce strength are strongly connected with AI awareness. Moreover, the level of learning relevance has been analyzed using further test. The data demonstrates that AI moderately improves learning levels, hence increasing workforce effectiveness, with District 2 having the greatest impact on AI awareness and core technical proficiency among teachers in Kerala.
