The goal of this project is to test the ability of a drone to fly stably and to navigate different flight routes that were created with Droneblocks. Droneblocks is an application for learning about block-based programming for drones. The test will be done by having the drone perform three different flight routes: in a straight line, as a square, and as zigzag route. The tests will be completed at the speed of 2cm/s, 4cm/s, and 6cm/s to evaluate whether the speed or complexity of the flight route will have an impact on the stability and maneuverability of the drone. It is anticipated that the results will provide input into the design of more efficient flight algorithms and also provide students with hands-on experience to learn about drone navigation and robotics.
