This research investigates the impact of responsible leadership on employee satisfaction in selected public sector organizations, with a particular focus on the mediating role of work-life balance. Based on six hypotheses formulated after a review of the literature, data were collected from a sample of 402 working mothers in selected public sector organizations in Ghana. Results from data analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) indicate that responsible leadership influences job satisfaction both directly and indirectly. However, responsible leadership affects family satisfaction only indirectly through the mediation of work-life balance. The study underscores the importance of work-life balance in promoting both job and family satisfaction. The findings have implications for human resource development professionals and other leaders in the public sector.
