This paper proposes and operationalizes the Historiographical Information Density (HID) framework—a quantitative method for measuring the ratio of verifiable to non-verifiable content in historical narrative texts. The framework defines the minimum information unit as the independent verifiable proposition and classifies all textual content into four categories: A1 (verifiable with existing evidence), A2 (verifiable in principle, insufficient evidence), B (borderline verifiability), and C (not verifiable in principle). The framework is applied to the Hongmen Banquet episode (1,484 characters) in the Shiji by Sima Qian (145–86 BCE). Full proposition-by-proposition counting yields 115 independent propositions, of which only 6 (5.2%) achieve A1 status. The dialogue-to-narrative ratio reaches 54.0%, compared to a whole-text mean of 31.4%. Four structural laws are formalized, including the Literary-Density Negative Correlation Law (r = −0.914) and the C-Class Transmission Advantage Law (75% of cultural vocabulary derives from non-verifiable content). This revised edition adds a new section applying the Neural-Cycle Historical Rhythm (NCHR) framework to Sima Qian himself. The four NCHR nodes (T1 ~130 BCE: fieldwork travels; T2 ~115 BCE: appointment as Grand Historian; T3 ~100 BCE: Li Ling incident and castration sentence; T4 ~85 BCE: completion of Shiji) generate a falsifiable HID-NCHR Convergence Hypothesis: the HID value of Shiji narrative units is inversely correlated with the NCHR stage at which those units were composed. The T3 crisis case is structurally parallel to the Hawking case analyzed in the Theory of Dream Evolution series—an existential crisis at the T3 node producing a documented acceleration in creative output depth.
