Abstract: Environmentalism is the concept that has grown in the past and current centuries. Society, with the active involvement of government and industries, has realized the significance of a safe environment. As long as there is life in this universe, attention to its health and healthcare system and the related concepts will continue to emerge gradually. The healthcare sector, which occupies a large area in the economy of countries, has now risen with Green Healthcare. Green health care is the practice of methods in the health care system that are friendly to the environment. Potentially, it safeguards the environment and promotes the health of humankind either directly or indirectly. The promotion of health can be attained at different levels, such as the local level (in the premises of a hospital or research Centre or health clinics), community level (by reducing the ecological footprint of the hospital), and global level (by adopting green methods to preserve biodiversity). This review paper focuses on the green healthcare system, advances in green healthcare, including green print and green environment challenges, and several organizations that are opting for green policies.
