As New York State continues to make it easier for folks to gamble, I offer this warning: problem gambling addiction will increase, and the current addiction care infrastructure is not prepared to meet the increased need. The reason is not because of the efforts of addiction care providers or the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) — it is despite their great work!
