Pediatric sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is rare; however, there are reported cases of incidence in children under 18 years old.As children are often unable to discuss their symptoms and it is poorly reported, its incidence is largely unknown.Timing in treatment of SSNHL is crucial, as research has shown that prognosis is positive when treatment is commenced immediately after onset. Therefore, getting an ageappropriate assessment within the time frame is crucial. The objective of this paper is to identify a pediatric audiological testing protocol that provides age-appropriate site of lesion testing in the diagnosis of SSNHL.
