ABSTRACT The fragmented and dispersed knowledge base on care leavers in Türkiye makes it difficult to establish an evidence foundation for policy development and the improvement of practices in this field. This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the existing body of knowledge on care leavers in Türkiye by compiling academic studies conducted between 2000 and 2025. Designed as a scoping review and conducted in accordance with the PRISMA framework, this study included 24 research articles that met the established criteria. The findings demonstrated that the transition process and aftercare life were addressed under four main themes: family of origin relationships; education and work life; close relationships, marriage and parenting; and social life. Furthermore, the study revealed the significant role of context‐specific factors in Türkiye in shaping the transition to independent living and aftercare experiences. The findings of this research may contribute to international research and policy‐making processes concerning care leavers by offering insight from the Turkish context and by facilitating a better understanding of contextual differences in the aftercare transition process.
