The Bekenstein–Hawking entropy formula S = kB A/(4 lP²) contains a factor of 4 whose physical origin has remained unexplained for fifty years. Within the (6+2)-dimensional elastic spacetime theory (EST)—a framework modeling spacetime as an FCC lattice medium with Ds = 6 spatial and Dt = 2 temporal dimensions—we show that this factor is 2Dt = 2 × 2 = 4, arising from the temporal anchoring degrees of freedom per lattice cell on the event horizon. The value Dt = 2 was fixed independently by the derivation of the fine-structure constant α (error < 0.01%) and the Planck–electron mass ratio in prior work (Zenodo DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18911034). We further derive the Hawking temperature from elastic principles without quantum field theory on curved spacetime, identify the 7α ≈ 5.1% temporal reverberation fraction as the physical source of Hawking radiation via an elastic Schwinger mechanism, predict a stable Planck-mass remnant, and argue that the information paradox does not arise. All results use zero free parameters.
