The characteristics of subsurface rock formations are fundamental to geological science and geotechnical engineering research, and their physical properties are of great value for geological resource exploration and development, disaster warning and prevention, etc. This dataset contains physical parameters of Quaternary to Neogene strata at depths of 485.9–3,060 meters along the southern margin of the Xianli Uplift in the Weihe Rift Basin, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It encompasses four stratigraphic units—the Quaternary Qinchuan Group (Q2-4qc), the Pliocene Zhangjiapo Formation (N₂z), the Pliocene Lantian–Bahe Formation (N₂l +b), and the Miocene Gaoling Group (N₁gl), comprising a total of 50 records. In accordance with geotechnical investigation standards and quality-control requirements, five core parameters—deep resistivity, sonic travel-time difference, clay content, porosity, and permeability—were measured and integrated. This dataset aims to provide reliable foundational data for regional geological modeling, particularly for groundwater and geothermal resource assessment, as well as sandstone foundation bearing-capacity studies Additionally, it serves as an important reference for geohazard risk assessment and research on sedimentological evolution.
