The paper presents an analysis of the simulation on Nano optical fiber cable. The simulation provides analysis for mainly the two parameters of an optical fiber, the first being modal dispersion and the second being optical density distribution. To study these parameter effects on the optical fiber cable, the values for the few parameters over a range have been studied. These parameters include diameter of the core, the refractive index contrast of the core-cladding and the operating wavelength. The core diameter range was varied between the range 2 µm to 8 µm. Two combinations of refractive index contrast air-silica and air-water was considered. From the MATLAB simulation it was observed that as the diameter of the optical fiber decreases, the modal dispersion had increased. For the wavelength longer wavelengths had lesser modal dispersion due to the broadening of the intensity profile. The simulation analysis provides the ability for a designer to choose the appropriate optical fiber cable according to the need and demand.
