Despite these benefits, the paper also addresses key implementation challenges, including the lack of standardized protocols, high initial costs, integration difficulties with legacy systems, and the need for international collaboration. Ultimately, the article argues that while blockchain is not a panacea, it holds substantial promise as a strategic asset in the fight against maritime piracy.
