Objectives:This study aims to examine the events and issues addressed by the author in his novel, and to demonstrate their role in shaping his work. The novel, as is well known, is not isolated from lived reality, and it is the literary genre closest to depicting reality in all its aspects, due to the fluidity of its narrative structure, its acceptance of various social and historical issues, and its artistic treatment of them. Methods: This study is based on analytical methodology for texts. Results: Therefore, I decided to trace the events of the novel, which emerge from realistic facts that worked to construct the narrative imagination, with a vision that transcended the familiar to the world of imagination, which works to transform facts into mythical symbols employed by the author, giving his narrative text an aesthetic and artistic dimension. Conclusion: study that embodies the writer’s ability to draw inspiration from facts and reconstruct another imaginary world that transcends reality in the process of creating and innovating a mythical text based on human history. He desires to mythologize reality and reshape it in an artistic image that gives it mythical dimensions with a vision that transcends the boundaries of reality and leans towards imagination, which makes the narrative text richer and closer to imagination than to reality, The narrative style chosen by Jassim Asi to present the events of his book is distinguished by its ability to keep pace with both reality and imagination, which reflects his vision and describes his approach to dealing with realistic issues and ways of revealing them to the reader.Keywords: myth, legend, imagination
