The article studies an approach to describing the transitional flow regime from laminar to turbulent for flow in a pipe in order to simulate the operation of an anemometric gas flow sensor. This paper aims to demonstrate the influence of the operating temperature of the sensing element of a hot-wire gas flow sensor on the output signal and sensitivity of the sensor. This article presents the results of finite element modeling of an anemometric gas flow sensor using the SST turbulence model in Comsol Multiphysics. The dependence of the output signal and sensitivity of the hot-wire gas flow sensor in the velocity range of 0–20 m/s is obtained.
