Standard of care is the yardstick or measure or the benchmark by which the court evaluates the conduct of a medical professional in an alleged case of medical negligence.In this short article, various legal principles which form the backbone of medical negligence litigation have been discussed, along with the concept of standard of care, with relevant case laws.
