The objective of this study is to investigate the shape of intermediate membrane and the thickness of chamber ceiling in an indirect suction cup. Arrays of micro suction cups which can adhere to objects with curved or uneven surfaces have been reported. In addition, indirect suction cups which can adhere to objects without any pressing force have been reported. We investigate easily deformable intermediate membrane and thinner chamber ceiling to realize suction cups that can adhere to fragile and/or curved surfaces. In this study, two types of intermediate membrane were compared; flat shaped and cone shape, and chamber ceiling with 4 different thickness were compared. As a result, we concluded that flat shape intermediate membrane and chamber ceiling whose thickness is 2.0 mm are suitable.
