An Electro-Conjugate Fluid（ECF）is one of functional fluids. A strong jet flow is generated between two electrodes when a high voltage is applied to ECF through the electrodes. By utilizing this strong jet flow, it is possible to develop a pump for ECF with a simple structure, no sliding parts, no vibration and no noise. Some of the authors had developed several types of ECF-pumps and had created a new liquid cooling system by ECF. However, to implement this liquid cooling system, it is necessary to enhance the performance of ECF-pump to make pump drive voltage lower. In this study, a method to improve the performance of a mesh-type ECF pump is proposed and some experiments to measure the pressure at the pump discharge port are carried out. From the experimental results, it is known that the method is effective.
