In this study, we developed an interactive AI system to prevent the recurrence of past defects and improve both design quality and efficiency, thereby reducing defective costs due to product defects. Product design requires referring to a wide range of documents and knowledge, which poses the challenge of significant effort in retrieving and organizing essential information. By leveraging generative AI, our system digitizes defect-related knowledge to efficiently compile potential risks and concerns associated with design changes. Furthermore, it provides relevant documents and their summaries via an interactive interface. Verification using representative refrigerator product standards demonstrates that our system effectively reduces the man-hours required for information searches.
