The article is dedicated to the structure of scientific and technological progress and an overview of the main methods of state regulation of scientific and technological progress in Russia. During the transitional period of Russia's economic development under the conditions of European sanctions and a shift in the direction of foreign economic cooperation towards Asian countries, the role of scientific and technological progress (STP) is increasingly significant in the confident growth of the economy, with a focus on maximizing the share of technologies in the added value of goods and services. The article explores the concept of STP and highlights the main mechanisms and methodologies for regulating STP in Russia. In particular, special attention is given to political regulation and methods of financing STP. Priority areas for the development of STP in Russia until 2030 are outlined.
