We developed an origami hat with “Improved sea cucumber folding”. Although the hat is origami, it is made using a new method that is different from conventional origami. The hat design covered in this study was constructed by applying conventional folding methods such as "sea cucumber folding" and "accordion folding" and adjusting these folding two technics. It does not impair the comfort of wearing and does not feel cramped even with honeycombs. In addition, this origami hat can be folded and stored in a bag and be easy to carry. Here, by attaching a honeycomb core to a hat that combines an improved sea cucumber folding and accordion folding, we examined whether the work helmet meets the safety standard.
