In order to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050, sales of BEVs are increasing worldwide, and large number of light BEVs sold in Japan. We believe that it is effective to combine a numerical model of an electric vehicle using Matlab with a traffic flow simulation (SUMO) to study methods for improving energy consumption, with the aim of improving the mileage per charge on real roads. In this study, we created a motor efficiency map using a chassis dynamometer and created a light BEV energy consumption calculation model using Matlab/simulink. We will report the results of verifying the calculation accuracy of energy consumption calculation model by comparing with the results of real road test results in Utsunomiya City.
