Utilization of waste heat from the industrial sector as an energy source is expected to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. However, it is difficult to recover and utilize the heat due to the small temperature difference of most of the waste heat. In this study, a two-dimensional analytical model of a water droplet moving back and forth between a pair of horizontal electrodes plate containing an air layer was developed using the fluid analysis code OpenFOAM. Numerical simulations were performed by incorporating electric forces into an existing solver. As a result, the reciprocating motion of the droplet was successfully reproduced. When the droplet protruded from the oil layer, the droplet extended and contacted the positive electrode plate.
