The purpose of this scientific article is to study aspects of the psychological status of patients with complete or partial absence of teeth, as well as its changes in the process of rehabilitation. When writing a scientific article, periodicals in the field of clinical psychology were used. The study is based on such methods as generalization, analysis, systematization of data collection, video-computer diagnostics according to A.N. Anuashvili, descriptive statistics. The conducted analysis of emotional tension indicators in patients before dental treatment allows us to say that men have a significantly higher level of emotional tension than women (73.6% vs. 57.9%). The majority of patients seeking dental care due to dental problems were found to have destabilized aspects of psychological type regardless of gender. After the completion of dental treatment, the video-computer diagnostics performed showed a statistically significant improvement in the stability of mental processes by 12.85% and an increase in the harmoniousness of personality by 6.02%. This indicates a positive effect of dental treatment on the psychological state of patients. The obtained results indicate the need to pay more attention to the psychological aspect of dental treatment. Stresses and emotional tension associated with a visit to the dentist can have a serious impact on the general mental state of the patient.
