Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) often develop and progress without symptoms, with saccular aneurysms in particular presenting a high risk of rupture. Traditionally, treatment decisions have been based on aneurysm diameter; however, some small aneurysms may also rupture, indicating that size alone is not a reliable predictor of rupture risk. In this study, we performed numerical fluid-structure interaction analysis to investigate blood flow behavior at different growth stages of saccular AAA. Additionally, the effects of stent placement on the vessel wall and hemodynamics were analyzed to evaluate its therapeutic efficacy.
