Centrifugal pumps are used in various industrial fields. In recent years, the demand for mini centrifugal pumps has been increasing and they are widely used in various fields such as industry and medicine. In this research, we focus on disk friction loss of mini centrifugal pumps and seek a method to reduce it. In this paper, a model with blade outlet angle and the number of blade changed as necessary and a model with only the main plate were created, and experiments and analyses were conducted to investigate disk friction loss. The correlation expression for friction moment coefficient used to evaluate disk friction loss was modified to consider blade outlet angle, the number of blade, and miniaturization.
