ABSTRACT This paper presents a feed‐network‐free multi‐beam monopole antenna that generates four directional beams using a shared reflector, eliminating the need for complex beamforming circuits. The design begins with a vertical rectangular metal‐plate monopole as the core radiating element. By adding a pair of stubs laterally and incorporating chamfers/slots at the base, the operating bandwidth at medium and high frequencies is significantly extended and superior impedance matching is achieved. To realize multi‐beam functionality without complex feeding networks, four such optimized antenna units are strategically positioned in symmetric diagonal locations. Notably, a single shared reflector is integrated between the units, simultaneously enhancing port isolation and efficiently forming four distinct beams in the ±45° and ±135° directions. A full prototype was fabricated and measured, validating a 74.2% bandwidth (3.43–7.48 GHz), port isolation exceeding 18 dB, and a maximum gain of 8.77 dBi. Owing to its unique combination of ultra‐wide bandwidth, feed‐network‐free multi‐beam generation, structural simplicity, stable gain, and directional diversity, the proposed antenna offers a low‐cost, compact solution for robust broadband Internet of Vehicles communications.
