ABSTRACT In order to investigate the relationship between microstructure and performance of electrocatalysts, we prepared ZIF‐67 with four different morphologies and examined their efficiency in catalyzing oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The crystal morphology of ZIF‐67 changes significantly with increasing surfactant under different reaction times. Different morphologies of ZIF‐67 expose different crystalline surfaces, along with a change in the number of exposed active sites. As revealed by the electrochemical catalysis tests, nanosheet‐structured ZIF‐67 showed the best OER electrocatalytic performance, with an overpotential of only 390 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm −2 .
