The initial document, titled D6.1 - Dissemination, communication and exploitation plan, 1st version elaborated within the framework of the CARINA project which is co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe framework programme under Grant Agreement No. 101081839. The current document titled D6.3 - Dissemination, communication and exploitation plan, updated version (DCE) presents developments and updates at this stage of the project. In this context, the main objectives of the DCE offered partners a set of guidelines, responsibilities and timelines on how/when/where to disseminate the project, as well as to encourage them to use their channels (corporate websites, social networks, etc) to support the dissemination, with the main goal of gathering the ideal conditions to: • Raise awareness of the project activities and events; • Communicate and disseminate the findings and results among CARINA target groups; • Identify and use the right channels to efficiently communicate with the target groups and stakeholders (including the identification of events, social media networks, press releases, multiplier organisations, etc.). • Produce the necessary supporting material to ensure an effective dissemination, including printed material (i.e. brochure, poster, roll-up, goodies…) and digital materials (videos, infographics…). • Create a link to other existing projects within the same scope; • Facilitate regular communication, through press releases and newsletters, to inform about the latest news and developments of the project to the media; • Plan, organise and monitor project’s dissemination activities and events (new); • Support the visibility and engagement activities of CARINA’s project (new); • Store all project’s key outcomes and results on CARINA´s website (new); • Disseminate key outcomes and results through CARINA’s SMAs (new); • Promote open access to CARINA’s deliverables and data (new). In addition, CARINA partners focus on producing results that will be sustainable after the project’s completion and ensuring that innovative ideas, methodologies, and results of the project will be fully identified, preserved and considered in terms of wider availability to all relevant stakeholders and, where applicable, commercialization potential. Thus, the consortium defines basic principles, from the early stages of the project, that will yield a solid management framework for the Background (BG), as well as the Foreground (FG) Intellectual Property Rights of CARINA. The CARINA DCE plan sets the ground for monitoring the protection of IP and IPR within the consortium, which eventually will support the creation of value as regards the exploitable results of the project and facilitate successful innovation. The primary aim of D6.1 was to identify the project’s key assets and establish a foundation for defining their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). It also aimed to create a shared understanding of the framework for exploiting these assets after the project concludes. In addition, the document outlined clear, practical objectives that enabled effective monitoring and the successful implementation of the dissemination and communication activities throughout the project. As the CARINA project progressed over its 36-month duration, new objectives were introduced to address emerging needs. These objectives provide clarity on why the Dissemination and Communication Plan is necessary. A summary of the existing and new objectives is provided above. Five new objectives have been added to the DCE. The first two focus on supporting all engagement and dissemination efforts within the CARINA project. This includes activities such as creating tailored dissemination materials and drafting articles to highlight and promote important events like training sessions, Living Labs, Lighthouses, and Social Innovation Labs. The second new objective is centered on archiving the project’s key outcomes and results on the CARINA website. The third objective aims at disseminating these results through the project’s social media accounts (SMAs). Lastly, the final objective focuses on promoting open access to CARINA deliverables and data if not restricted.
