Background: Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) effectively arrests caries but causes black staining. Aim: To compare colour-masking ability of Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) versus Giomer placed over SDF-treated lesions. Methods: 16 extracted carious teeth treated with SDF then randomized: Group 1 — GIC; Group 2 — Giomer. Colour measured by spectrophotometer; stats at p < 0.05. Results: Significant differences between groups on intra- and intergroup comparisons (p < 0.05). Both materials effectively masked SDF staining with measurable differences. Conclusion: Both GIC and Giomer can mask SDF staining; selection may depend on clinical priorities.
