Indoxacarb at 2 carrier volumes with 2 adjuvants was tested for control of western tarnished plant bug (WTPB) in strawberry.The experiment was conducted in a grower's field (GPS Coordinates: 345614N 1202238W) in Santa Maria, California.Bare root strawberry transplants (Proprietary Cultivar) were planted in the commercial field site in Fall 2024.The experimental area consisted of 6 284 ft raised beds that had 64 inch between bed centers.Each bed had 4 rows of plants spaced 12 inch between rows and 15.5 inch between plants within a row.Beds were covered with black polyethylene mulch.Plants were irrigated and fertilized via 3 lines of drip tape per bed.Plots were 16 ft long and 2 beds wide, replicated 4 times and arranged in an RCB.Treatments were applied using a backpack sprayer calibrated to deliver 50 gal/A and 100 gal/A using compressed CO 2 at 60 psi.The sprayer was equipped with a custom 48-inch handheld boom.The boom had 5 14 inch dropdown tubes and eight nozzles (ALBUZ ATR 80 red hollow cone, Kisco Sales, Santa Maria, California) in total.The outer 2 dropdown tubes contained a single nozzle angled inward at 45 degrees, and the 3 inner tubes contained 2 nozzles, with each nozzle at opposing 45-degree angles.The carrier volumes tested were equivalent to 50 and 100 GPA.The adjuvants tested were Broadspread and Dyne-Amic.
