We present a rare case of a patient who exhibited a periosteal reaction of the femur following total hip arthroplasty (THA). Α 2-stage revision procedure was performed and the patient's symptoms resolved. Subsequent analysis of soft tissue cultures revealed the presence of Staphylococcus capitis infection. This case report highlights the importance of considering infection as a potential cause of persistent periosteal reaction following THA and emphasizes the significance of accurate diagnosis and prompt management.
