The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Mn-based active carbon foam in treating toluene and its regeneration using microwaves.
Developed a manganese oxide-supported active carbon foam catalyst.
Conducted toluene conversion experiments at 400 °C.
Applied microwave regeneration to restore catalyst activity.
Achieved approximately 88% conversion of toluene at 400 °C.
Successfully restored catalyst activity via microwave regeneration.
Demonstrated a sustainable approach for the treatment of volatile organic compounds.
Abstract
A coal-derived MnO x @ACF catalyst achieves ∼88% toluene conversion at 400 °C. Its activity is effectively restored via microwave regeneration, presenting a sustainable strategy for VOC abatement.
