Aim of study: The main purpose of this study is to examine the bending properties of dolomite-added particleboards by strengthening them with FRP polymers. In this context, particleboards containing dolomite at different rates were produced and their mechanical strength was increased with FRP coatings.Material and method: In this study, particleboards containing dolomite were produced and FRP coatings were applied to increase their mechanical performance. Within the scope of the experiments, the bending strengths of the produced samples were tested. The effect of different rates of dolomite additive on the particleboard was examined and the mechanical advantages provided by FRP coatings were evaluated.Main results: As a result of the tests, it was determined that dolomite additive affected the mechanical performance of the particleboard and FRP coatings significantly increased the bending strength. The findings obtained show that such composite materials have the potential to be used in construction and industrial applications.Research highlights: It was observed that dolomite additive had a significant effect on the mechanical performance of particleboards. It was determined that FRP were effective in increasing the bending strength. The findings revealed that the reinforcement of dolomite-added particle boards with FRP has significant potential in construction and industrial applications.
