The first 2026 issue of the Journal includes both reviews an original articles on different aspects of the hypertensive disease. Bhati and Mittal from India provides a comprehensive review on a clinical condition of frequent detection in the elderly, namely orthostatic hypotension. The condition becomes particularly difficult to be treated in older hypertensive patients, which, due to physiological alterations in the autonomic cardiovascular control occurring with the aging process, may display during orthostatic stress sudden blood pressure drops. The review provides useful insights on how to manage (and possibly to prevent) this common complication of the antihypertensive therapeutic intervention.
