The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of orthodontic treatment on the development of gingival recession. Materials and methods. The study was conducted at the Clinical Dentistry Center of the Russian University of Medicine, within the Department of Periodontology and Dental Disease Prevention. 14 female patients (mean age 29.21±4.68) who had previously undergone orthodontic treatment were included in the study. Results. The study demonstrated the impact of orthodontic treatment on the risk of gingival recession. Conclusion. As well as the significance of patient predisposing factors that contribute to the development of this pathology during orthodontic treatment and in the long-term afterward.
