The two lentil cultivars responded differently to eCO2, with few drawbacks. PL was better in its productivity response, while PVRL had a better response from its composition standpoint. These results allow the incorporating of this knowledge into lentil breeding programs to select for complex traits such as the response to stress factors. © 2026 The Author(s).
