In this paper, the preliminary work of designing and implementing a low-cost obstacle detection and avoidance robot using the ESP32-WROOM-32U microcontroller with ultrasonic sensors for real-time navigation in IoT and Big Data systems is introduced. This system employs three ultrasonic sensors positioned at the center, 45° to the left, and 45° to the right, allowing the robot to achieve accurate self-navigation in restricted and dynamic spaces. As this research demonstrates the scalability of the ESP32 through its wireless connectivity, it establishes the potential for extended IoT solutions in autonomous robotics within the context of data collection and utilization, enabling modeling and information-based decision-making. The outcomes highlight the stability and flexibility of the system and its capacity to incorporate solutions based on data analysis, marking the emergence of a new branch in the field of low-cost robotic systems with increased reliance on data collection.
