The NCAA is currently facing a new set of legal challenges: NBA G League players wanting to return to Division I college basketball. These disputes center around the NCAA's eligibility rules and how they overlap with antitrust and constitutional law that could, again, reshape the NCAA's rules and its time‐honored concept of amateurism. As a result, what were once settled NCAA rules and regulations are again the subject of controversy. That has been causing administrative inconsistencies and competitive tensions across college athletics.
