One of the most addressed issues today is undoubtedly the role of women in society and their rights.As a matter of fact, the level of development of societies is measured by the rights and freedoms they offer to their individuals as well as economic and technological progress.It is known that women, who have undergone significant changes throughout history, are underestimated in different parts of the world, subjected to various pressures, or considered as sexual objects by being ignored in society.In the context of gender inequality, it can be said that they were not considered citizens in Ancient Greece, were bought and sold like any other commodity in the market during the Era of Jahiliyya (Ignorance), and were regarded as sinful and weak during the Middle Ages.However, women have played a vital role throughout human history as they have been ensuring the continuation of the human race since the time of Eve.In this context, there is a lot of information about women in the Holy Books.In this study, we aim to reveal the similarities and differences in the view of women in the Holy Books (the Torah and the Bible).We used the documentation method in our research.The literature on the subject was reviewed; similar academic articles were examined; books, journals and web pages were utilized.In addition, the relevant verses in the Old Testament (the Torah) and the New Testament (the Bible), which constitute the backbone of our research, were utilized.
