This study proposes a method to approximate pre-buckling deformation and improve the accuracy of linear buckling load estimation through iterative linear buckling analyses. In this approach, linear buckling analysis is performed using the equilibrium shape obtained at the buckling point from elastic buckling analysis. The results indicate that evaluating stiffness based on the geometry immediately before buckling allows the linear buckling load to closely approximate the elastic buckling load. Building on this observation, the study introduces a method to estimate elastic buckling loads using only linear buckling analysis, without the need for elastic buckling analysis.
