Purpose The purpose of this case report is to highlight the benefits of marsupialization as a conservative treatment for inflammatory dentigerous cysts compared with complete excision, specifically focusing on facilitating the eruption of permanent teeth. Methods Two case reports are presented and were managed by marsupialization under local anesthesia. The procedure included the extraction of the overlying primary teeth, incision and drainage of the cyst, sampling of cystic tissue for histopathology, and placement of an iodoform gauze dressing to maintain decompression. Regular postoperative follow‐up and radiographic assessments were performed. Results Both cases demonstrated successful reduction of cystic size, bone regeneration, and eruption of permanent teeth without complications. Histopathological findings confirmed the diagnosis of inflammatory dentigerous cysts. Conclusion Marsupialization offers significant advantages over complete excision as a conservative treatment option for large inflammatory dentigerous cysts in children, effectively promoting the eruption of permanent teeth.
