The rapid convergence of automation, artificial intelligence, and cyber-physical systems has redefined modern manufacturing paradigms. Intelligent production systems and smart factory technologies enable adaptive, data-driven, and highly efficient industrial processes. This paper examines the integration of advanced automation within manufacturing environments, emphasizing intelligent decision-making, real-time monitoring, and system interoperability. It further explores the transformative role of smart factories in enhancing productivity, flexibility, and sustainability. Through a synthesis of literature and conceptual analysis, this study highlights key technological enablers, implementation challenges, and future research directions.
