A description of the device constructed at SAI MSU based on a commercial infrared photosensitive module for studying the distribution of the sky background brightness (SBB) in the IR range is presented. The observation procedure with the instrument and the algorithm for accounting for the instrumental background contribution to the total signal are described. The results of measurements of the SBB at the Caucasian Mountain Observatory at wavelengths of 3. 7 and 4. 7 m, carried out in December 2024, are given. An estimate of the SBB at zenith, corresponding to a star of 5. 3^m per 1 arcsec ^2 of the sky has been obtained.
